REWARD OFFERED IN FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP SHOOTING

Somerville - Somerset County Prosecutor Wayne J. Forrest, Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Chief of Detectives Stuart Buckman and Franklin Township Police Chief Craig Novick announce that the investigation regarding the shooting on Ford Avenue, in the Somerset section of Franklin Township on Saturday December 5, 2009 is continuing.

Douglas W. Kimmelman, President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Crime Stoppers of Somerset County, has announced that a reward of $1,000.00 has been offered for information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the individual(s) responsible for the shooting.

Prosecutor Forrest stated that at approximately 4:43 a.m. on December 5, 2009, a 22 year old Franklin Township man was ambushed and shot multiple times outside a residence. Preliminary investigation has thus far led detectives to believe that this is not a random incident and the victim was the intended target of the shooter.
