REWARD OFFERED IN ATTEMPTED BANK ROBBERY
SOMERVILLE - Somerset County Prosecutor Wayne J. Forrest and North Plainfield Police Chief William Parenti announced that the investigation regarding the attempted robbery of the Bank of America located at 535 Somerset Street in North Plainfield n October 6, 2009 is continuing.
Prosecutor Forrest stated that the suspect entered the bank and handed a note to a bank teller demanding money. The suspect who was captured on the bank surveillance camera fled the bank without any money. The suspect was last seen fleeing on foot westbound on Howard Street towards Grove Street in North Plainfield.
The suspect is described as a white male, medium height and build, clean shaven, mid 20’s, with white tape/bandages across his nose and chin, last seem wearing a black hat (no logo), black long sleeve shirt, black pants, and sun glasses.
Douglas W. Kimmelman, President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Crime Stoppers of Somerset County, has announced that a reward of $ 500.00 has been offered for information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the individual(s) responsible for the attempted bank robbery.
