REWARD POSTED IN FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP BANK ROBBERY

SOMERVILLE - Somerset County Prosecutor Wayne J. Forrest and Franklin Township Police Chief Craig Novick announced that on Friday, February 20, 2009, the Investors Savings Bank, located at 225 DeMott Lane in the Somerset section of Franklin Township, Somerset County, New Jersey was robbed of an undisclosed amount of money at approximately 1:34 p.m.
Douglas W. Kimmelman, President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Crime Stoppers of Somerset County, has announced that a reward of $500.00 has been offered for information that leads to the arrest of the individual(s) responsible for the bank robbery.
Prosecutor Forrest stated that a teller was approached by a white male, approximately 40 years of age and handed the teller a plastic bag containing a note that demanded money. No weapon was displayed. The teller gave the suspect an unknown amount of cash. No other customers were in the bank at the time of the robbery.
Prosecutor Forrest stated the suspect exited the bank and traveled in an unknown direction. A description of the suspect is as follows: approximately 5’11” tall, stocky build, facial stubble growth, wearing blue jeans, black jacket, dark red baseball cap with a circular logo on the front of cap. Suspect was also wearing dark colored “Oakley”
style sunglasses and black and yellow gloves.
