CRIME STOPPERS INCREASES REWARD IN FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION


Somerville, NJ – Somerset County Prosecutor Wayne J. Forrest and Franklin Township Craig Novick announce that the investigation into the July 15, 2007 shooting death of a Township teenager is continuing.

Douglas W. Kimmelman, President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Crime Stoppers of Somerset County has announced a reward has been increased from $1,000.00 to $5,000.00 for information which leads to the arrest and indictment of the individual(s) responsible for the shooting

The July 15, 2007 shooting death of 18 year-old Franklin Township resident Ammar Simmons, remains unsolved. Simmons was shot and killed with a single gunshot wound during an altercation that occurred at the Franklin Township Little League Complex on DeKalb Street, Franklin Township, shortly after 1:00 a.m.
