CRIME STOPPERS OFFERS REWARD IN ROBBERY OF STOP AND
SHOP PHARMACY
SOMERVILLE, NJ - Somerset County Prosecutor Wayne J.
Forrest and Hillsborough Chief of Police Paul Kaminsky
state that the investigation into the robbery of the
Stop and Shop Pharmacy on July 5, 2007 in Hillsborough
is continuing.
Douglas W. Kimmelman, President and Chairman of the
Board of Directors of Crime Stoppers of Somerset County
has announced a reward of $500.00 for information which
leads to the arrest and indictment of the individual(s)
responsible for the robbery.
Prosecutor Forrest stated that at approximately 5:26
pm on July 5, 2007 Hillsborough police responded to
the Stop & Shop on a robbery call. Upon their arrival
it was discovered that a white male suspect, described
as being approximately 5’6” tall, thin
build, dirty blonde hair, wearing blue jeans and a
blue shirt, approached the pharmacy counter and handed
the pharmacist a note demanding certain prescription
drugs. The suspect’s note indicated that he had
a gun, but one was never shown. The pharmacist put
an open bottle of hydromorphone into a tan plastic
bag that the suspect had given her. The bottle contained
approximately forty, 8 milligram tablets. The suspect
then fled the store and ran towards Route 206 where
he may have entered an awaiting vehicle. The scene
was processed by the Prosecutor’s Office Crime
Scene Investigation Unit, Detectives from Hillsborough
Township and the Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes
Squad are continuing their investigation.
