Crime Stoppers Offers Reward
in Armed Robberies
Somerville, NJ – Somerset County
Prosecutor Wayne J. Forrest, Manville Chief of Police
Jack Petrovic, and Bound Brook Acting Chief of Police
Louis Diana announce that an investigation is still
being conducted by the Somerset County Prosecutor’s
Office Criminal Investigation Division, and the Manville
and Bound Brook Police Departments Detective Bureaus
into the series of armed robberies that have occurred
between December 2004 and January 2005.
According to Prosecutor Forrest, the
suspect has entered the businesses, showed a handgun
to the clerks, while demanding all the money. The suspect
has robbed five businesses in Manville and one in Bound
Brook. The most recent robbery occurred on January
25, 2005 at the Competitive Automotive located on No
Main Street. The suspect also robbed this business
on December 30, 2004. The suspect has taken more than
$1000.00 from the businesses during the crime spree.
As the investigation continues, Douglas
W. Kimmelman, President and Chairman of the Board of
Directors of Crime Stoppers of Somerset County announced
a reward of $750.00 for any information that results
in the arrest and indictment of the suspect(s). This
